The mixture was cooled to room temperature, diluted with ethyl acetate (25 mL) and water (25 mL), and extracted with ethyl acetate (3 x 25 mL). The combined organic extracts were washed with brine, dried with sodium sulfate, filtered, and concentrated in vacuo. The residue was purified by preparative reverse phase HPLC (90:10 to 0:100; water containing 0.1% formic acid : acetonitrile containing 0.1% formic acid) to yield the title compound. 1H NMR (400MHz, CD3OD): delta 8.35 (d, J = 2.0 Hz, 2H), 8.02 (d, J = 1.6 Hz, 1H), 7.80 (d, J = 2.0 Hz, 1H), 7.62 (d, J = 8.0, 2.0 Hz, 1H), 7.27 (d, J = 8.0 Hz, 1H), 4.51- 4.49 (m, 1H), 4.13 (s, 2H), 4.07- 4.02 (m, 1H), 2.51 (s, 3H), 2.20- 2.10 (m, 1H), 1.97- 1.84 (m, 4H), 1.48- 1.46 (m, 3H) ppm.
