The crude mixture was purified by flash chromatography (ISCO Combiflash, 0-30% EtOAc in hexanes) to afford 4-(3- iodo-lH-pyrazol-l-yl)-2-methoxypyridine, as a white solid. LCMS calc. = 301.97; found = 302.02 (M+H)+.
