Asolution of di-teit-butyl dicarbonate (1.07 g, 4.89 mmol) in anhydrous THF (15 mL)was addedand the mixture was stirred at room temperature overnight. The organic solvent was removed in vacuo, the aqueous residues were diluted with water (100 mL) and extracted with EtOAc (2 x200 mL). The organic layers were combined and the solvent was removed in vacuo to afford the title compound (1.19g, 96%), NMR data consistent with those previously obtained.
